The Trumpeter Swan once covered the continent, but almost became extinct by the early 1900’s. Thanks to Yellowstone National Park and other conservation efforts, some live on. Today you have a good chance of seeing these beautiful birds in northwest Wyoming, eastern Idaho, and western Montana.
In this oil painting a magnificent swan spreads its wings in a display of strength and beauty. One of my favorite projects.
